GREEN BAY, WI – (WGBW) – With local elected officials, supporters, and numerous community members in attendance showing their support, Jamie Wall, a Green Bay small business owner announces his bid for the newly-drawn 30th State Senate District.
“I’m proud to launch my campaign in the community I love,” said Wall. “I’m running because we deserve a State Senator who will fight for regular people, whether that’s by helping working families get by, protecting our public schools, defending access to reproductive healthcare, or fighting for clean water and clean air. By working together, we can build a better future for Brown County and Wisconsin as a whole.”
Wall says that Green Bay and Brown County is a great place to live, but he believes that we can do better.
“There’s still a lot of people out there who need their elected officials to step up for them and fight to make this place an even better place to live, and work, and raise a family,” said Wall. “I don’t have a magic wand. I can’t tell you that if I’m elected I’m going to solve the world’s problems overnight. But I can push in the right direction, and I can tell you that I’m going to make every decision with the people who sent me to Madison in mind, particularly the people who need somebody on their side.
Wall says he has the support of several leaders throughout Wisconsin including Senate Democratic Leader Dianne Hesselbein, Senator Jeff Smith, and Senator Kelda Roys. He is also supported by Green Bay Mayor, Eric Genrich, and several board members from counties and towns within the 30th Senate district, such as Brown County board member Tom Friberg, Green Bay Alders Bill Galvin and Randy Scannell, Allouez Village Board Member Jim Genrich, and Green Bay Area School Board Member Lynn Gerlach.
Wall, a long-time resident of Green Bay, says he is active in the community, serving in leadership roles on the Green Bay Water Commission and his local neighborhood association.
About 25 supporters attended the announcement event on Wednesday morning in Green Bay.
The newly drawn 30th Senate District consists of De Pere, almost all of Green Bay, Allouez, Ashwaubenon, and Bellevue, and parts of Ledgeview and Rockland. The Senate seat is currently held by Republican Eric Wimberger.
