OakLeaf Medical Network has announced the opening of two new clinics in Rice Lake and Menomonie in former Prevea locations.
According to a press release on Tuesday, OakLeaf Medical Network purchased both locations from HSHS as they look to expand their footprint in the area. At the new Rice Lake clinic, officials announced it will be retaining staff from when it was under the Prevea umbrella to ensure minimal disruption to patients in the area.
One of the retained staff members, Kaley Wilson, APNP, said “I have worked closely with patients, their families and friends for over 16 years. I am a Rice Lake native and take pride in serving our community. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Oakleaf Clinics, which has provided me with the ability to continue to put patients first and provide care close to home.”
The clinic is now open on N. Main Street in Rice Lake.
In another press release, OakLeaf Medical Network announced the opening of another new location in Menomonie. This facility will be shared by members of Oakleaf Clinics and Foot and Ankle Clinic. The Foot and Ankle clinic is currently open in another Menomonie location, but officials plan to move it to the larger site on Stout Road.
The Menomonie clinic will also be staffed with former Prevea employees, and will be able to provide OBGYN services.
The new clinics are part of a larger effort by Chippewa Valley healthcare providers to increase their services to address the abrupt departure of HSHS and Prevea from the region.
