MANITOWOC, WI – (WGBW & WISS) – Manitowoc County Health Department offers two free walk-in flu clinics for children in October. The clinics will provide flu vaccines to any child 6 months through 18 years old with or without insurance.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Flu clinic information:
- Saturday, October 12:
- Manitowoc Public Library; 707 Quay Street, Manitowoc, WI 54220
- 10AM-12PM (while supplies last)
- Tuesday, October 22:
- Valders Community Center; 420 N. Liberty Street, Valders, WI 54245
- 4PM-6PM (while supplies last)
“These flu clinics offer an additional opportunity in the community for families who may have barriers in getting to our office during the normal business hours, and are open to all children regardless of insurance status,” said Korina Aghmar, Director of the Manitowoc County Health Department in a press release.
Families that cannot attend either of these clinics are encouraged to visit their healthcare provider or a local pharmacy to receive their vaccines.
“Vaccination, along with preventive practices such as regular hand washing, and staying home when sick helps keep families, schools and workplaces healthy,” added Aghmar.
