The Richland Center boys basketball team won a non-conference game at Mauston 50-34 last night.  The Hornets improved to 3-3 on the season while the Golden Eagles fell to 1-5.  After Mauston started out with a 5-0 lead, Richland Center scored 16 unanswered points to take a lead they would not give up.  The Hornets led 27-17 at halftime and built as much as a 21 point lead before winning by 16.

It was a good balanced attack by the Hornets who were paced by Liam Fingerson with 13 points, Garrison Weiss added 11, Jayden Schoepp, Brady Dosch, and Wes Bosworth all chipped in 7 points, Cutler Palmer had a 3 point basket, and Kyzan Schwictenberg scored 2.  Richland Center was 4 for 6 from the free throw line.

Mauston freshman Jase Navis had a game high 16 and was their only player in double figures.  Terrell Frogg had two three pointers.  The Golden Eagles shot 0 for 4 from the free throw line.

Mauston won a close JV1 game 49-43 over the Hornets.
Following the 50-34 Varsity win, Richland Center will have time off until December 27th and 28th when they play at Winona State for a holiday tournament.  Mauston will host Wisconsin Dells this Friday night.
