MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – Madison libraries have new programs while kids are on winter break.

“We Read” began at Madison Public Libraries on December 16, and runs through January 11.

“During the winter, we know many families are looking for warm indoor environments where learning, growth, and engagement continue to happen,” said Madison Public Library Youth Services Manager Tammy Ocampo. “The winter WE READ program is built to help each family find something that works for where they’re at right now.”

Each library has all kinds of activities for different age groups. They have stuffed animals children can read aloud to. The libraries also have lotería kits, which is kind of like Mexican bingo. Plus there are crafting classes, writing sessions, and extra storytime events.

Library programs are always free. For the full offerings and schedule, click here
