Rotary Lights is in need of volunteers for Thursday, January 2, from 10:00 to 4:00 to gather all the electrical cords and sort to length. Bring extra gloves. A break will be held from Noon to 1:00 for lunch. Volunteers can work one to two hours, or the whole day.
Richland County Senior Dining Meal sites are open to the public for in-person dining. The Woodman Senior Center will serve meals Monday through Friday at 11:45. The Germantown Senior Dining Meal Site, located at St. Anthony’s School (32497 County Highway V, Cazenovia) is open Wednesdays with serving at 11:15. The Rockbridge Meal Site at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (25500 Rockbridge School Street, Richland Center) is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with serving at 11:30. Join in an evening exploring how parents, caregivers, and community members can foster true belonging Monday, January 6, at 5:30 for a free dinner at the Richland Center High School West Commons. Speaker Merri Guggisberg will present the Values in Action, a character strengths framework, at 6:30. Participants will uncover ways to nurture children’s unique qualities, build circles of care, and create a supportive environment where everyone feels connected and valued. The Ithaca alumni basketball tournament will be held Saturday, January 4. The women’s game will start at 6:00 and the men’s game will start at 7:30. There will also be a 3-point contest starting at 5:00. There is a $5 donation to play in the games to benefit the Ithaca Basketball Programs.
