MILWAUKEE, Wis (WAUK) – Election officials in Milwaukee are gearing up for a busy day. Voters head to the polls to decide key races tomorrow. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., with contests ranging from statewide offices to local school board and aldermanic seats.

Among the notable races is the competitive contest for the Milwaukee Public Schools Board District 7 seat, where Molly Kuether-Steele and Katherine Vannoy are vying for the position. Additionally, voters in Milwaukee’s 3rd Aldermanic District will elect a new representative to replace Jonathan Brostoff. The candidates, Alex Brower and Daniel Bauman, advanced from a closely contested primary earlier this year.

Statewide, voters will decide the balance of the Wisconsin Supreme Court as liberal-backed Judge Susan Crawford faces conservative-backed Judge Brad Schimel. The outcome could determine whether the court retains its liberal majority until 2028. Another high-profile race is for state superintendent of public instruction, with incumbent Jill Underly running against Brittany Kinser.

Officials report high early voting turnout, surpassing figures from previous spring elections.

In Milwaukee, polling places will be open at 180 locations spread across the city. Voters can find their specific polling place and view sample ballots by visiting MyVote.wi.gov. Photo identification is required to cast a ballot, and voters can register at the polls by providing proof of residence.
