WAUKESHA, Wis (WAUK) – With former President Donald Trump preparing to visit Waukesha, the Biden-Harris campaign is planning to hold a press conference on Wednesday to talk about Trump and his views on abortion.

The Biden-Harris campaign will hold a press conference ahead of Donald Trump’s visit. That will happen at a yet unknown location at 9:00 a.m. The press conference will feature Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez and local leaders.

A statement from the Biden-Harris campaign says that Trump’s visit to Waukesha comes at a time when Democrats have been making significant gains in the Milwaukee suburbs, including Waukesha County. In the 2022 governor’s race, support for Republicans in Waukesha County decreased by six points from 2016, marking the largest single shift in any Wisconsin county.

“In the past month, Donald Trump has bragged about being “proudly the person responsible” for overturning Roe v. Wade, which enabled extreme state abortion bans across the country, including the 1849 ban in Wisconsin and a ban from 1864 with no exceptions for health, rape, or incest upheld by the Arizona Supreme Court. Donald Trump’s record on abortion is crystal clear: He and his MAGA allies want to ban abortion at every chance they get.”

Former President Donald Trump is visiting Wisconsin as part of his efforts to strengthen his standing ahead of a potential 2024 comeback bid for the White House. Trump’s campaign has announced that he plans to deliver remarks at the Waukesha County Expo Center in the early afternoon. The doors will open at 11 a.m., and speeches are scheduled to start at 2 p.m. After the Wisconsin stop, Trump will head to Freeland, Michigan, for an early evening rally.
