LAS VEGAS (Civic Media) – The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team is making its first-ever appearance in the National Invitation Tournament semifinals Tuesday night.
Wisconsin (20-14, 9-11 Big Ten) faces North Texas (29-7, 16-4 Conference USA) in the first-ever meeting between the schools in men’s basketball at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
The Badgers are 6-4 all-time in the NIT, last appearing in the event in 1996. Wisconsin defeated Oregon on March 21 61-58 to advance to the semifinals. If Wisconsin wins, the Badgers will play the winner of Tuesday night’s Utah Valley-UAB semifinal game on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Las Vegas.
