Kenosha, Wis (Civic Media) – A Kenosha man was shot and killed at a Pleasant Prairie dollar store yesterday. Village police say they responded to a distress call about someone who was shot at around 4pm yesterday afternoon, in a parking lot outside of the Dollar Tree in the Shoppes of Prairie Ridge on Highway 50. The officers quickly arrived and tried to save the victim’s life, but unfortunately, the person didn’t survive. The victim was identified as Anton Lemarr Space, a 46-year-old from Kenosha.

Police are working to find out what happened. They are collecting evidence and talking to witnesses with the help of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department. A motive isn’t known at this point.

The Pleasant Prairie Police Department says they are offering condolences to the Space family during this very difficult time. Anton Lemarr Space leaves behind a wife and four children.
