Kenosha Prepares for JD Vance Visit with Road Closures and Security Measures
KENOSHA, Wis. (WRJN) — Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance is set to hold a news conference on crime and safety in Kenosha’s Civic Center Park on Tuesday at Noon, marking his third consecutive weekly visit to Wisconsin.
The event comes just days after Vance secured an endorsement from the Milwaukee Police Association. He will be joined by local Republican leaders, including U.S. Senate nominee Eric Hovde and Kenosha County Sheriff David Zoerner.
Vance’s appearance coincides with a Democratic rally featuring Vice President Kamala Harris in Milwaukee, highlighting Wisconsin’s importance in the upcoming election.
The Kenosha Police Department announced road closures around the event site from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sheridan Road will be shut down from 52nd to 58th Street, and 56th and 57th Streets will be closed from Sheridan Road to 11th Avenue.

Access to the Kenosha County Courthouse will be available from the east on 56th Street and north on 13th Avenue. Officials advise commuters to plan alternate routes or avoid the area entirely.
