October is Cybersecurity Month. It is a good time to be sure your computers, and portable devices, are secure from online predators. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) likes to help consumers stay safe. Michelle Reinen (rye-nun) is from DATCP {dat-cap}.

To stay secure it is important to keep devices updated.

Reinen urges creating a secure password to avoid having your information stolen.

To help remember a password be sure to keep the information in a safe place.

Michelle Reinen recommends using a feature to help stay safe when logging-in.

You can find more Cybersecurity information, and tips, on DATCP’s website at datcp dot wi dot gov.
