Historic Point Basse is a well known central Wisconsin landmark. Volunteers from the site are often seen at local events. The site also hosts several events of their own each year. One of those events is the upcoming Spirit Walk. Each year volunteers with Historic Point Basse put on the roles of historic former residents to tell their stories. This is not a traditionally spooky haunted house event, but is a haunted history event. It is an all ages, and family friendly event. Each year they try to keep the content different from previous years. So even if you’ve attended previous Spirit Walks at Historic Point Basse you can expect a few surprises.

Historic Point Basse is run on a volunteer basis, and there are many ways to volunteer at the site. Volunteer opportunities include portraying historical figures at the Spirit Walk, sewing repair and design, and even just chopping firewood. Mike encouraged anyone with an interest to check out their volunteer page on the website, and reach out. This year’s event will be held on October 19th and 26th from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at their 364 Wakely Road Nekoosa location.
