
Angels Soar: Racine St. Catherine’s Wins State Football Championship
MADISON, Wis. (WRJN) – Racine St. Catherine’s Angels clinched their second WIAA Division 4 state football championship, edging Baldwin-Woodville 26-22 at Camp Randall Stadium Thursday night.
The Angels’ defense forced four turnovers, with Issac Cantu’s game-ending interception sealing the victory. Junior Lamont Hamilton starred with 275 all-purpose yards and three receiving touchdowns. The yards gained for Hamilton set Division 4 finals records.

St. Catherine’s built a 14-0 halftime lead and extended it to 20-0 in the third quarter. Quarterback Eddie Vinson connected with Hamilton on scoring passes of 59, 23, and 49 yards.
This marks only the second state championship game appearance for St. Catherine’s, following their 2018 title.
