One woman received injuries following a one vehicle rollover crash Sunday (March 16) morning. At approximately 9:00, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the crash on Highway 133, just west of the city in the Town of Boscobel.
During the investigation it was determined Colleen Berent, 52 of Boscobel, was traveling east on Highway 133 when
she looked away from the road to answer her cell phone. When Berent looked away to answer her cell phone, her vehicle began to veer off of the roadway to the right. Berent attempted to maintain control of the vehicle, but she over-corrected her steering and ended up crossing the centerline and entered the ditch on the opposite side of the road. Berent’s vehicle traveled down the embankment, and rolled an unknown number of times before coming to rest on its wheels.
Boscobel Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Colleen Berent was transported to Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital by Boscobel EMS and then transported to UW Hospital via Med Flight.
Berent was cited for inattentive driving.
