OSHKOSH, WI- (WISS) – Friday evening, President Donald Trump urged Wisconsin voters to cast their ballots for Brad Schimel for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. Just hours after that endorsement, Schimel’s opponent Susan Crawford was in Oshkosh and Green Bay drumming up support for her campaign.
“It was not a surprise, and in fact, I thought they’d sewn it up weeks ago,” Crawford said of the endorsement. “He’s obviously been in the pocket of Elon Musk for many months now. Musk has basically taken over the financing of his campaign. It’s just more evidence that Brad Schimel is running this race to try to push apart as an agenda to the Wisconsin Supreme Court and turn the Supreme Court into an arm of the Doge agenda.”
Crawford kicked off a 10-day, 2,400 mile 21 county campaign tour of the state on Saturday. She is calling this last push before the election the Common Sense Justice Tour.
“ I am the only fair, impartial candidate in this race,” said Crawford, “And the only candidate who wants to get on the Supreme Court to stand up for Wisconsinites not for any special interests.”
She mentioned that Elon Musk has spent 12 million dollars to support Brad Schimel’s campaign.
“ We have to make sure that we keep this partisan politician off our Wisconsin Supreme Court. We don’t need to politicize the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and we don’t wanna politicize our constitution,” Crawford told the crowd. “So I’m counting on all of you to help me make sure that doesn’t happen and that we have a Wisconsin Supreme Court that is continuing to protect the people of Wisconsin and not the partisan special interests.”
