History
Bobby Socks is an organization which collects and distributes new underwear and socks to Central Wisconsin families in need. The founder, Kathy Brock, got the idea after the passing of her son Bob. During his funeral there were people approaching her and the family thanking her for the assistance Bobby had provided for them. People thanked her for snow pants, boots, and other essentials. Unbeknownst to the rest of the family Bob had been working extra hours and using that money to help his community. Now in remembrance of Bob’s generosity the family runs this grassroots organization.
The Event

The 8th Annual Bobby Socks Campaign for Underwear & Socks will be on Thursday April 24th at American Legion Post 54 from 5-8PM. For the donation of new socks, t-shirts, onesies, or underwear, you get a raffle ticket for door prizes. They will also have live music, silent auctions, games, and a cash bar.
In Closing
This event, and organization, is what community is all about. When we say “support local” this is it. This event supports the community that keeps supporting it. The vendors, performers, and volunteers at this event are in it for the best of intentions. They just want to help. This group has assisted over 800 families in the area so far, and is looking forward to assisting many more. The Bobby Socks organization accepts donations and provides support year around. Kathy only asks that you reach out before donating outside of this event so she can tell you what would be most helpful.
