RACINE, Wis. — Organizers of Racine’s 4th Fest parade are accepting online applications for entries in this year’s event, which will mark both the parade’s 90th year and the United States’ 250th anniversary.
Applications are available at racine4thfest.org, where participants can find entry types, fees, requirements and deadlines, according to 4th Fest of Greater Racine, Inc.
Entries can submit applications through May 29 to avoid a late fee. The final deadline for all parade applications is June 5, and organizers said no applications will be accepted after that date.
4th Fest Racine Parade Schedule
The 2026 parade will be held Saturday, July 4, and is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. following a pre-parade set for 8:30 a.m., organizers said.
This year’s theme is “Happy 250 America,” in recognition of the nation’s semiquincentennial. Organizers are encouraging participants to decorate floats and units with patriotic and historic elements, including red, white and blue décor, flags, bunting and references to historical figures.
The parade is presented by Festival Foods and the City of Racine, according to the organization.
The route spans about 2.6 miles, starting at Goold Street and heading south on Main Street before turning at 14th Street. Organizers estimate the parade will take about two hours to complete.
The event will be broadcast live on My24 Milwaukee and simulcast online, organizers said.
4th Fest
4th Fest of Greater Racine, Inc., a private nonprofit, puts on Racine’s Independence Day celebration, including the parade and fireworks. The organization said the festivities are funded through individual and corporate donations and sponsorships, and it accepts donations year-round. More information is available at racine4thfest.org.
