How did you get into football, and what led you to the Racine Raiders? I got into football when I was 7 years old. I played every year from then on until I retired as a raider. I was led to the Racine Raiders through making the Allstate football team at Horlick High School in 1999. With school being out of session I didn’t have anywhere to practice football. The Racine raiders were practicing so I practiced with them for several months preparing for the high school All-Star Game at Camp Randall.
Why do you think it’s important for the Raiders to have a strong presence in the community-including being back on the air on WRJN? I think it is very important for the raiders to have a strong presence in the Racine community. This is the reason Why I played for the raiders? I love the fact that they were heavily involved with the community and that I was able to play in front of my hometown. I played 9 years of arena football and I valued every game at Horlick Field over every professional game I played because of the community and my heart for Racine. I know that WRJN was a huge part of my raiders career and I still love to hear old clips of play-by-play through WRJN. I am grateful for what WRJN has meant to the Racine community and I am excited have them back broadcasting the games for the 2025 season.
. Can you share one of your favorite memories from your time with the Raiders? My favorite part of being a raider was how I could be an inspiration to many young children and others that were not able to play football. It is awesome to go full circle and be interviewed by Dakota which was one of my fans growing up. I always loved to go the extra mile with the fans and spend time outside the football field with them and me and Dakota got to develop a relationship that still lasts to this day. I am grateful for these relationships that I have and to be able to watch these young kids grow up into men.
What was it like getting inducted into the Racine Raiders Hall of Fame? Getting inducted into the Racine raiders Hall of Fame was surreal. It was amazing to have five of my seven children able to witness it along with the rest of my family. It was an honor to play as a Racine Raider and I will forever be grateful for the memories that were created, not just on the field but throughout the community.
What are some of your Hobbies/Interests outside of work? With having my seventh child on the way my hobbies are all over the place. I love to do anything where I can spend time with my kids and we love to do ministry. We started a non-profit organization that is called Amen Adventures. You can find us at amenadventures.org. We as a family, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others through a homeschool co-op, outdoor activities and we will soon be starting a teenage tool program that teaches middle school and high school age children, how to use tools and work with equipment. I am excited for the 2025 season. It is exciting to see the raiders complete back-to-back national championships. One thing that I was unable to do as a player. I love the passion that the current players have and I will be cheering for them to complete yet another undefeated national championship run go Racine raiders and thank you for the support that I have had from my Raiders community throughout my career and beyond. God bless!
