You might be wondering: What’s a palindrome?
Well, I’m glad you asked because we’re in a Palindrome Week!
The dates can be written the same frontward or back. For instance, today is May 21, 2025. That’s 5-21-25 or 52125 (read the same from the front or the back).
That will continue all the way until Thursday the 29th when it will be 52925.
We’ll see the next Palindrome Week in June 2026! Mark your calendars when it kicks off June 20, 2026 (or 62026).
We didn’t realize we were inside a Palindrome Week when my husband and I got married two years ago. As we were filling out our paperwork we realized our anniversary is March 27, 2023 (32723), which is a palindrome!
Want an example of a Sentence Palindrome?
“Was it a car or a cat I saw?” (Try reading it backwards and you’ll get the same sentence.)
How about a Palindrome Phrase?
“nurses run” (Yup! The same phrase if you start from right to left.)
Have fun!
