As the Milwaukee Brewers get ready to play in the NLDS this Saturday, they still await who their matchup will be. They will play the winner of the Cubs and Padres, who are set to play their final wild card game today.
The Brewers have announced their starting pitchers for the first two games of the NLDS. Ace Freddy Peralta will take the mound in Game 1, while Quinn Priester is scheduled to start Game 2. Peralta led the team with 17 wins and a 2.70 ERA during the regular season. Priester, acquired in an April trade, has been a key contributor to the rotation, boasting a 2.81 ERA over his last 11 starts.
The Brewers look to keep their hot play from the regular season into the NLDS. Both potential matchups have a lot of intrigue as the Padres have gotten the better of the Brewers this season, while playing the Cubs would be the first time the heated rivals would play each other in the playoffs.
As the Brewers find out who their matchups will be, the fans and team are looking to get back to the world series for the first time since 1982.
