WIAA Playoffs, Monday Night Football

This Friday night on WRJN, the Union Grove Broncos hit the road to face the West De Pere Phantoms in the third round of the WIAA High School Football Playoffs. You can catch every play live on WRJN, with pregame coverage starting at 6:40 p.m. and kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. at West De Pere High School.

Union Grove comes into the matchup at 10-1 after back-to-back nail-biters in the postseason. The Broncos edged out Waukesha West in the opening round, then battled past Nicolet in a tough second-round contest to keep their playoff run alive.

West De Pere, on the other hand, has been dominant all season. The Phantoms are a perfect 11-0 and have outscored their opponents 509–205. Their playoff path has been smooth so far, rolling past Hartford and Pulaski in convincing fashion.

It’s a high-stakes showdown between two great state programs, with a trip to the state semifinals on the line. The winner will move on to face either Homestead or Monona Grove in the next round. 

The Green Bay Packers face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football at Lambeau Field, with kickoff at 7:15pm and pregame at 5:00pm on WRJN, where you can catch all the action!

After the Packers’ disappointing loss to the Carolina Panthers last week, they’ll look to regroup against the 6-2 Eagles, who sit atop the NFC East. Despite the setback, Green Bay remains first in the NFC North at 5-2-1 and will try to defend home turf in primetime.

Jordan Love and the Packers’ offense will look to get back on track after struggling to find a rhythm in Carolina, while the defense faces the tall task of slowing down Jalen Hurts and a high-powered Philadelphia attack.

It’s a big test for Green Bay under the lights at Lambeau — a chance to make a statement against one of the league’s best teams and remind everyone why they’re still a force in the NFC.
